A Wedding Full of Wildflower Charm: Sophie & Tom

Updated: Jan 17

One of the most vibrant and joyful weddings I had the pleasure of working on was for Sophie, a bride from Northern Ireland, who tied the knot with her husband Tom. Sophie came to me through a close mutual connection, and from the very start, her enthusiasm and vision for her wedding flowers were absolutely infectious.

Sophie wanted her wedding flowers to truly reflect her personality and style, so we opted for a wildflower theme bursting with color and life. The palette included a cheerful mix of yellows, purples, oranges, greens, and pops of pink and white. This bold, fun combination was not only unique but also a perfect fit for Sophie’s vibrant spirit.

For Sophie’s wedding, I created:

  • Bridal Bouquet: A lively and whimsical arrangement of wildflowers, designed to be as bold and colorful as Sophie herself.

  • Bridesmaids’ Bouquets: Coordinating with the bridal bouquet, these were slightly smaller but just as full of charm and color.

  • Church Flowers: Stunning wildflower arrangements for the top of the aisle and set the tone for the ceremony.

  • Buttonholes: Playful and colorful buttonholes for Tom and his groomsmen, tying in beautifully with the overall wildflower theme.

Meeting Sophie and Tom in person when delivering the flowers was such a treat. They were kind, genuine, and so excited about their big day. It’s always a privilege to meet the couples I work with, and this time was no exception. Their warmth and gratitude made being part of their wedding even more special.

Sophie’s wedding flowers quickly became one of my favorites to create. The bold and unconventional mix of colors, the playful wildflower style, and Sophie’s trust in me to bring her vision to life all made this experience truly unforgettable. It’s always a joy to step outside the box and create something unique, and Sophie’s wedding was the perfect opportunity to do just that.

Being part of Sophie and Tom’s wedding day was such an honor. Knowing that the flowers I created added a touch of magic to their celebration means the world to me. Weddings like theirs remind me why I love what I do – it’s not just about the flowers; it’s about being part of a couple’s love story.
