December 14th, 2024, was a day filled with love, warmth, and beauty as Gorata and her closest family and friends gathered at the Malahide Grand Hotel for an intimate wedding of about 65 guests. I had the honour of being part of her celebration, designing florals and decor that perfectly reflected her vision for a magical day.
From our very first conversation, Gorata was a joy to work with. She knew exactly what she wanted and communicated her ideas with so much clarity and enthusiasm.
Bringing Gorata’s Vision to Life
For her color palette, Gorata chose a blend of rust, peach, and greenery, perfectly suited for a cozy winter wedding.
Here’s what I created for her special day:
Bridal Bouquet: A lush arrangement of dried and preserved blooms, incorporating her chosen colors with textural elements for a natural, organic feel.
Bridesmaids’ Bouquets: Slightly smaller versions of the bridal bouquet, echoing the same stunning palette and style.
Flower Girl Crown: A delicate, whimsical piece designed for the youngest member of the bridal party. It added such a sweet touch to the day!
Hair Clips: Three floral hair clips, crafted with care to tie the bridesmaids’ and bride’s hairstyles into the overall floral theme.
Buttonholes: Six buttonholes for the groom and groomsmen, styled to complement the bridal bouquet without overshadowing it.
Floral Arch: The centerpiece of the ceremony decor. The arch was set behind the ceremony table, doubling as a breathtaking backdrop for the top table during the reception. Using dried florals in rust, peach, and greenery, I created a cascading design that framed the couple beautifully.
The Malahide Grand Hotel provided a gorgeous setting, with its timeless interiors and warm ambiance setting the stage for Gorata’s dream wedding. Seeing how everything came together – the flowers, the decor – was an incredibly rewarding experience.
I’m so grateful for the opportunity to help make her vision a reality. Weddings like this remind me how special it is to be part of such important milestones in people’s lives.
If you’re planning your own wedding and dreaming of personalized floral designs and decor, I’d love to hear from you.
